The second of the conversations organized by Macu Moran, for Art Basel included Don Foresta, founder of the research artist and coordinator of MARCEL (Multimedia Art Research Centres and Electronic Laboratories) and Michael Doser, Deputy Director, Physics Department at CERN (European Organization for Nuclear Research).

This conference and its preparation was a precursor of the creation of the residency program ARTS AT CERN that was created soon afterwards, with a tremendous effect in the art industry and contemporary research.

Art and Science have several common denominators, both use hypothesis, theories and research, towards their common goal of expanding human understanding of reality.
